EEBA field trip in Phang Nga and Phuket
From November 21-23, 2023, the EEBA Field trip took us on an exhilarating journey to the provinces of Phuket and Phang Nga. It was an adventure tailored for students enrolled in the courses Recreation and Tourism Economics, and Economics & Business of International Tourism. These courses delved into the captivating realms of economic analysis within recreation and tourism industries, as well as the intricate economic and business facets of international travel and tourism. Our focus extended beyond the textbooks, embracing the economic, social, political, cultural, and environmental considerations integral to international tourism management and development.
On the first day, we embarked on a boat tour, indulging in the breathtaking beauty of the various islands in Phang Nga. Our excitement escalated as we checked in at the “Apsara Beachfront Resort and Villa”.
On the second day. The adventure continued with visits to the Sea Turtle Conservation Center at Phang Nga Navy Base and the Ban Namkhem Tsunami Museum. We eagerly absorbed insights into the world of surfing business in Phang Nga before heading back to the hotel.
On the last day, as our group actively participated in a mangrove planting activity along the coastline near the hotel. As we prepared to check out, Our final destination was the Pullman Phuket.
